this is the tank , in the ribbon it will say something like LOVING MEMORY OF MICHAEL BURNS .. or MIKE BURNS , or maybe MIKE "B" .. we haven't figured out the exact name to use ,, but thats not important yet ,, I have lots of work to do before I need to worry about how the name is going to be ,, I prefer MICHAEL BURNS on the tank , and MIKE "B" on the fender..???

This is the cross I was kicking ideas around with to .. the draped cloth would be one or the other not both .. and say the same as the tank ,, this was the 1st idea then I sort of replaced this idea with the eagle on the tank , the cross could also replace the eagle on the fender ,, but I am liking the eagle best it gives the impression of freedom and Mike was as free spirited as they get also him and his Central Hower Eagles ,, the eagle fits I think ,, it also comes into play with the Harley Davidson ..

This would be on either the very rear of the back fender behind the seat or the rear of the front fender ,, the red back ground in the picture is just to show the back ground color of the bike , as in the tank picture pretty much every thing around the picture that shows white will be the base color red of the bike ,, Maybe put MIKE "B" here with 1972 on side of the ribbon and 2005 on the other... I kind of like the Halo on the eagle ???te here will be red the base color of the bike ,,

Above is the rear fender raw / sandblasted ready to work , below is the rear fender in primer with most of the work complete ,

Below is the front fender raw / sandblasted , primered and in the gold base coat , the front fender was only in need of very minor repair , ding/scratch ,,

The next few pictures are of the oil tank in raw/sandblasted , primer , and finished candy clear coated over the gold base , this piece is done , the camera does not do this red justice , the color chip is a good example it was the tape covering the lid when I painted the tank , I was able to scan that pretty good due to it being flat ,

This is the fender, I used it as a test piece to see how workable the paint is going to be.. this is the graffic I am after it came out stunning on the front fender the Red / Gold & Black are a awesome combo of colors , I totaly abused the paint from start to finish on the fender to see all the " What If's " should and should not do ? so I have to repaint the fender for the final design but it will be just like you see it ,, the picture is split because I had to take 2 pictures of it and piece them together to get a close up ..
